I set myself a brief to draw some of my childhood memories, then I shared some on Instagram, and people started joining in with their memory drawings too.

So I started a hashtag #childhoodillustrated.

If we are lucky, for most of us, childhood is full of joy. But also, lurking in there somewhere, are some dark, weird or disturbing memories. I love using memory mining as a never ending source material for new illustration ideas. I wrote all about that here.
